Fall Mindfulness & Stress Resourcing Group

Hello and Welcome.

This is a registration form to sign up to participate in a fall mindfulness group course that Lissa Edmond APN-C will be offering in partnership with Embodied Heart Mind (EHM) & Mindful and Multicultural Counseling (MMC).

About the facilitator: Lissa (they/she) is a long-time mental health nurse practitioner and meditation and mindful movement facilitator with significant training in trauma-sensitive and body-centered approaches. To find out more about Lissa, please visit https://embodiedheartmind.com/about/

About the project:

Adults with anxiety and/or stress concerns are invited to participate in six 60-minute group sessions of mindfulness-based interventions scheduled from Sept 7 - Oct 19 via zoom. (We'll skip Thurs, Sept 28th.)

Although it is most beneficial to attend all of the sessions, it is of course okay if you have to miss one or two. Lissa will offer recordings of the guided practices and education provided during the group sessions.

Please know that Lissa has a lot of experience with group facilitation and you are welcome to join the group as you are. There will be no pressure for anyone to talk in the group unless they want to and Lissa will help support the space with community agreements that the group can cultivate together. The practices will be relatively short allowing us time to pause in between practices. We will be encouraged to practice in a way that doesn't strive for perfection or for having a mind without thoughts.

Cost details:

Lissa is offering this project as a form of a practice called dana or generosity and would like folks to feel free to offer as much as they feel moved to offer. A typical course like this could cost anywhere from $150-350. Please feel no pressure to offer anything at all if funds are tight for you and if you are able to support financially, a link to offer donations will be included in the course materials.

General outline of the group sessions for the six sessions:
